That would be one way to do it though... if he was being compelled, then there is a good chance there wasn't anyone in particular he wanted to kill. But if the choice is made for him, then he would have to go with whoever is given to him.
Mm... It is as you say. Perhaps as we grow to know one another and emotions begin to run, the compelled may yet find their animosity toward some individuals in particular.
Or we shall see if it is simply an unlucky twist of fate that dictates who else is awake.
