Mm. So they are. I wonder if we are simply sleeping.... again, for myself.
[in the camp.... a camp sleeper.
holds tsuru's hand]
It seemed to be written during the Orientation of the staff members. All other seven staff members were named, which is why I believe it to be written by Aquarius. There was some mention of 'turning to the occult' out of desperation. Though there were different journal entries, none were properly dated.
At a later entry, it makes mention of meeting their boss... so likely the Nightman. An individual bound by contracts, which both 'explains a lot' and 'might mean something'.
[honestly he. will probably go to the type writer to start typing out a version of this to send to tsuru since jiji's memory is fairly good just by nature of being who and what he is
mostly when it becomes just entries of frustration he will just put (sentiments of frustration) or something similar bc they're not distinct enough to remember compared to information]
... well, even if one is bound by contracts, it may not mean that there is someone above them. Only that it is their preferred mode of operation, and these agreements are binding.
We might yet be able to renegotiate, or create a new contract.

[ he will read it over once jiji is done typing, nodding slowly. ]
That makes sense... although, if even the host is contracted, then who is the one in charge there?
[ this is giving him a headache ]
