he allows himself to close his eyes for a moment, and he has to consider how this would be a good time to say something to mikazuki. he chooses not to, but he has to at least acknowledge his own hypocrisy. ]

Is that not just as vital as any history? Do we not get to create our own?

I do not think they'll be writing about us in a history book, Mikazuki. Even if they should.

[ he stays like this for another moment, before he carefully steps away from him. ]

[does history need to be written in a book to matter? does their existence not matter if a name is not put to it?

he doesn't say these things - but he does wonder them. instead he will just smile]

Ha ha ha... then be selfish, my crane. These hearts can hold all manner of emotion - it would be a shame not to explore them.

despite the lingering feeling, mikazuki's smile eases into its usual carefreeness]

[ he looks over at them.

and he does wonder what's on the other side of them all, but this one door hit a little too close to home. it brushed against something too fresh, and he knows if his expression cracks even a little, then mikazuki will take note of it to reexamine later. ]

That one over there just leads to never-ending doors.

Perhaps old men might enjoy a stroll together.

[but he makes no move toward it, instead allowing tsurumaru to lead him where he pleases]

[he's not against it. but they can go to the restaurant. hilariously despite saying that he would take care of tsuru, jiji makes no move to order.]

... the rooms are oddities. Some of them pose more distinct dangers than a broken heart.

Mm. I ran into an issue with one of them earlier, besides the hallway one.

[ he will pull back his sleeve enough to show a snake bite, before covering it again. ]

I have seen a number by now... though they illuminate less than I would have liked.

They are simply here for the atmosphere, I think.

If this is as violent as their entertainment requests are, then I would consider it a blessing upon us.

Though I know that some of those here less accustomed to warfare still struggle with this.

The duration is typically six to eight... aside from a few outliers - is that right?

That's right. There are a few that only lasted two weeks, Jason's was only a few days...

We have already been here long enough that it is likely not a situation like Jason's.
