Ha ha ha.... It was a kendo match between dear Lepus and Vulpecula, I believe. They were discussing conversations that dear Lepus was having with the Nightman. It covered an array of topics - including some matter on how the Nightman was frustrated that not enough people were dying, particularly on excursions. It was also troublesome to them that people were consistently being brought back to life.
There was some discussion on the matter of Lepus keeping their distance from us as guests, and so the Nightman would have least likelihood of being suspicious of them. It seems that attachment to us will prompt the Nightman to consider the staff to be less trustworthy.
There was discussion that we cannot expect the staff to save us, but the Nightman also doesn't appear to control everything entirely. Something about 'programming' that the Nightman intended to make more dangerous, but it may do something unexpected... though unfortunately the precise word used was obscured by the recording.
I would advise one to speak with Cloud Strife and see the tape themselves for additional details.
