He had been approached on Monday by a shadowy figure. This shadowy figure promised him that Mari - his hostage - would be kept safe. Even though Ercnard Sieghart did not truly intend to accept, not believing in false promises, he was consumed by the shadow nonetheless.

For a time, he felt himself - until Thursday, at which point, his rage consumed him. He discovered Flayn already awake in the lobby, but he had no intention to attack her prior to that moment.
