The closest is maybe the hot tub back in Nerak. It was a place with nearly endless snow, and a hotel like this, but it was made completely of ice... We went to many places during our stay with the Watchers.
Well... he was rather mischievous, but was cared for deeply. He was unfortunately a victim on the third week.
[ a small frown as he recalls. he swears he can still smell the smoke after trial. what a mess... ]
I liked him quite a lot. He explained just a bit... about being a blade, what life entailed. And I witnessed a memory of his, memories... a lonely life. [ he glances downwards, thoughtful ] We exchanged information frequently—I'm grateful for the guidance he provided when we truly needed it.
[softly, though mikazuki does not otherwise comment on what is said. he is quiet for a moment, as though pondering, before he smiles.]
It happens often - when one is met by another who does not recall them - to have certain expectations. I would not be surprised if what you learned about this Tsurumaru Kuninaga may still apply to my own... but what will you do if you find yourself surprised?
How do you suppose your heart will feel, to come to know someone over again?
I... have already had the displeasure of doing that.
[ he offers him a tired sort of smile. ]
Though it is someone who was coerced to take the life of another that I came to care for quite deeply. They disposed of her body in the most gruesome way. I had to see it for myself during the trial. [ slowly, he starts to unbuckle his shoes and just dunks his feet in the cool water now. he'll park himself for a bit. ] It is strange, to have to stare at that same face, but to know in your heart that they are not the same. You cannot treat them the same...
But in this way... you have the pleasure, perhaps, of getting to know them once again. To maybe learn different parts of them now that you have the chance. I try to think of it as a unique experience, and a gift no one else will be able to experience.
[ he kicks gently at the water. ] I think my heart will miss the person I knew at one point, but will find that it can make room for who that person was in another life.
[ . . . mikazuki munechika smiles similarly. he does not let his feet dip into the water, but watches the ripples. he adjusts his sitting so that he kneels by the pool, posture remaining proud and regal as he listens closely to kaeya's words.]
The faces of people are not unlike that of the moon.
[he lets his gaze drift upward - for even though the sky is bright, the moon is still there. it simply is not time for it to shine.]
You may witnesses one angle of its light, but in just another chance for the world to turn, it will look different yet again. All it takes is the passage of time and for the world to turn ever so slightly. Though at its core, even if they are not the same, they may in fact possess similar hearts.

[he tilts his head]
If I may, how many of you from that experience have been gathered here?

Hua Cheng, Rin Okumura, and Diluc Ragnvindr. That makes six of us.
... how about you?

From the village, myself, Tsurumaru Kuninaga, and Futaba Sakura.
[ . . . ]
Though there was a stop in between then and here. The 'summer camp' - though I was asleep for a great length of it.
[which is the first
little bit of annoyance that creeps into mikazuki's voice all weekend]

[ oh.
hm. ]
You were asleep?

I was.
Could you tell me more about your Tsurumaru Kuninaga?

Or at the very least, that is what I think.
