[mikazuki will be summoning all individuals to the wisteria tree in the courtyard again via typewriter. for three out of four, this is probably a familiar enough feeling!
and also a slut is here now.
mikazuki will greet everyone who enters with a tender little handhold.... hi... welcome....]
Good day, good day. I would like to have a conversation on information gathered regarding this hotel.
Perhaps in order then.... [he will begin to count off on his hand]
First, it was discussed that if you wish to see the fine print of your contract that we had trouble recalling in the beginning, you might request to view it with one of our staff members. If you have not seen it and possess further questions, I believe we might be able to help discuss it in more detail. However in that document, the owner of the hotel is named the Nightman.
Second, aside from Room Service, there are two types of tasks that can be completed to perform an exchange with the staff. The first is healing - of which there are the 'usual type' that are normally requested on Thursday for those returning from excursions, but there is a more advanced level of healing with a more difficult task as well. Healing tasks may be discussed openly, whereas Room Service tasks cannot. In addition, you might be able to request cosmetic changes to the environment... though I do not know the details of this.
Third, Mollymauk Tealeaf mentioned this in our past trial, but I believe that there are two types of rewards from the excursions that we are sent upon. One group will receive a locket that bestows upon them one power from home. [and he will adjust his sleeve to reveal the locket that is twined around his wrist like a bracelet] The second group seems to receive information about the hotel - for example, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd's image that he showed us. [the hangman]
Sylvain Jose Gautier... I would hate to dredge up unhelpful memories, but I might ask you if you received any such information during your excursion. I believe that the group last week with Sebastian Debeste, Sheila, Bradley Bain, and Zuko received a journal entry of some sort.
Fourth, after some discussion with others, I believe there reason to suppose that there might have been at least a second shadow that acted this weekend. Perhaps a third, but that is not yet clear. Unfortunately, I cannot say more on this matter.
Fifth, earlier today, Tsurumaru Kuninaga and I performed an inspection of one of the staff member's personal rooms. I was given an unmarked key that I could not discuss with any, but today we found the room that it was marked for. As such, though it was suspected... I believe the staff members to be friends - perhaps even familiar ones. Though out of an abundance of caution, I advise against asking them to reveal their identities to you at this moment.
[he looks at his hand where he's been counting this off - and then he will just go to reach for a cup of tea]
Thank you for sharing, Mikazuki. I admit I have not seen the journal the others brought back last week... does that mean the second piece that was found was that sheet of paper in the lobby...?
[ help ]
Otherwise, I'm afraid I haven't heard much more than you have. I believe you're correct about the staff—I recognized some of the handwriting on that strange paper [ hangman ] we found, and it is was written by two of the staff during their orientation, though none of them will admit to it specifically.
So in any case, I may have encountered one of the writers before now.
[ he looks a little uncomfortable about all this but it's whatever ]
Beyond the tasks, I have asked about the limitations of the 'deals' we can broker with the staff regarding the hotel. They must be 'entertaining,' the staff cannot assist with any physical work, and while there is no hard limitation, they may reject them if too many are being made in general, or if one person is behind too many of them.
If we are clever, and careful, I imagine these deals could continue being a boon to us.
[ i'm so sorry he has literally nothing useful to offer because: ]
The second note Dimitri's referring to is what my group picked up. There were way fewer names written on the chart at the time we found it... Just a handful of staff member names. Orion, Lepus, Aquila... I don't remember the fourth one. You might wanna ask Estelle. [ since bucky and kazu... are dead... his GROUP... ]
So, someone added more to it after the fact. [ either way it's not. particularly helpful. ]
...I'm sorry but that's all I've got. I appreciate the report, though.
[ she looks up at the wisteria trees for a moment before she addresses everything else. ]
It worries me if the shadows have multiplied to encourage so many. [ she frowns. ] But if that note about the shadow leaving the culprits after trial is over can be trusted, how much should we worry about this week?
... I did ask to see if I could get any information about what could generally count as a "stellar performance" after the second time I received a ticket for such, and all I obtained was a frightfully unhelpful answer.
[ but between mikazuki and what dimitri mentioned below about covers what she's found out, too. ]
It would appear as though I have an admirer, or perhaps a visitor of sorts. A bouquet of flowers has been left in my room: Rhododendrons, angel's trumpets, astilbe, mirabilis, and dogbane. Curious, curious.
Perhaps. If not for some of their meanings: Rhododendrons - Danger, Dangerous, Beware, I am Dangerous, Caution Angel's Trumpets - Thoughts of Those Departed, Separation Astilbe - I'll Still Be Waiting Mirabilis - The Chameleon, Timidity, Evening Beauty, Sweet Dreams Dogbane - Falsehood, Deception
May this letter find you in good health and calm tidings.
A request, if you would care to assist. At present, some of the items from the gift shop have been discerned for their use. The 'cross-stitch' is capable of making two individuals dislike one another. The lollipop is capable of answering one question not related to murder. If another of our number would like to purchase the candy, it might be useful to utilize. And it is worth testing to see if only three of the two-ticket item are stocked, or if there are more.
In addition, Tsurumaru Kuninaga has also received a bouquet. It contains messages of gratitude, encouraging energy, and good fortune. It would seem as though the crane was the one to be spoiled. But I do believe that with a delivery to us two, it might imply that they could be from the departed after all. Claude did inform me that he too received a delivery last Monday in the form of a sticker that said 'You tried'. I will continue to inquire if other flowers or items were sent.
I can purchase one, if you know which of the two has been purchased twice already. Alternatively, the Furby is still available if we need to know what ability it has.
And I must apologize that I was not able to speak on this earlier, but I also received a strange key some time ago, which Sylvain and I were able to use for a guest room last night. I assume these are the same keys found in the security office, as it was labeled 'B', and similarly assume that you and Tsurumaru found one as well. It did confirm that the staff are people who are familiar to us.
Additionally, I asked a member of the staff -- as discretely as I was able -- about the bouquets. The most they could say was that it seemed to be someone capable of watching from somewhere, who can follow our movements at all hours, and can send us gifts. So it does seem possible that they are a message from the dead, though of course I cannot be sure.
I have also discerned one of the staff members who wrote the ridiculous notes we have found. The other eludes me still. As ever, I will let you all know if I learn more.
Tsurumaru Kuninaga has purchased the lollipop - and I do believe it may be helpful to be able to have more questions answered if the first proves difficult. Perhaps that one?
And very good, very good. I spoke with another and it appears that many of these keys have been distributed as such. I have heard of 4 of them thus far, including yours. B, C, E, and G. Would you mind sharing whose room your key led to? I believe thus far dear Cetus, Vulpecula, and Gemini's rooms have been found. It was suggested to me that when Claude investigated the Staff Room, eight keys vanished. We are being given them now, I believe - though the staff are unclear why.
In addition, another bouquet was delivered to Estelle. Her flowers too spoke of good fortune, however one shared the message 'Sweet Be Thy Dreams'. Which prompts me to believe that the Mirabilis I received is similarly meant to mean 'Sweet Dreams'. Curious, is it not? Perhaps with all the night imagery, and as my crane suggested, the dreams we have been receiving as a collective...

Rhododendrons, angel's trumpets, astilbe, mirabilis, and dogbane.
