Perhaps in order then.... [he will begin to count off on his hand]
First, it was discussed that if you wish to see the fine print of your contract that we had trouble recalling in the beginning, you might request to view it with one of our staff members. If you have not seen it and possess further questions, I believe we might be able to help discuss it in more detail. However in that document, the owner of the hotel is named the Nightman.
Second, aside from Room Service, there are two types of tasks that can be completed to perform an exchange with the staff. The first is healing - of which there are the 'usual type' that are normally requested on Thursday for those returning from excursions, but there is a more advanced level of healing with a more difficult task as well. Healing tasks may be discussed openly, whereas Room Service tasks cannot. In addition, you might be able to request cosmetic changes to the environment... though I do not know the details of this.
Third, Mollymauk Tealeaf mentioned this in our past trial, but I believe that there are two types of rewards from the excursions that we are sent upon. One group will receive a locket that bestows upon them one power from home. [and he will adjust his sleeve to reveal the locket that is twined around his wrist like a bracelet] The second group seems to receive information about the hotel - for example, Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd's image that he showed us. [the hangman]
Sylvain Jose Gautier... I would hate to dredge up unhelpful memories, but I might ask you if you received any such information during your excursion. I believe that the group last week with Sebastian Debeste, Sheila, Bradley Bain, and Zuko received a journal entry of some sort.
Fourth, after some discussion with others, I believe there reason to suppose that there might have been at least a second shadow that acted this weekend. Perhaps a third, but that is not yet clear. Unfortunately, I cannot say more on this matter.
Fifth, earlier today, Tsurumaru Kuninaga and I performed an inspection of one of the staff member's personal rooms. I was given an unmarked key that I could not discuss with any, but today we found the room that it was marked for. As such, though it was suspected... I believe the staff members to be friends - perhaps even familiar ones. Though out of an abundance of caution, I advise against asking them to reveal their identities to you at this moment.
[he looks at his hand where he's been counting this off - and then he will just go to reach for a cup of tea]
Thank you for sharing, Mikazuki. I admit I have not seen the journal the others brought back last week... does that mean the second piece that was found was that sheet of paper in the lobby...?
[ help ]
Otherwise, I'm afraid I haven't heard much more than you have. I believe you're correct about the staff—I recognized some of the handwriting on that strange paper [ hangman ] we found, and it is was written by two of the staff during their orientation, though none of them will admit to it specifically.
So in any case, I may have encountered one of the writers before now.
[ he looks a little uncomfortable about all this but it's whatever ]
Beyond the tasks, I have asked about the limitations of the 'deals' we can broker with the staff regarding the hotel. They must be 'entertaining,' the staff cannot assist with any physical work, and while there is no hard limitation, they may reject them if too many are being made in general, or if one person is behind too many of them.
If we are clever, and careful, I imagine these deals could continue being a boon to us.
[ i'm so sorry he has literally nothing useful to offer because: ]
The second note Dimitri's referring to is what my group picked up. There were way fewer names written on the chart at the time we found it... Just a handful of staff member names. Orion, Lepus, Aquila... I don't remember the fourth one. You might wanna ask Estelle. [ since bucky and kazu... are dead... his GROUP... ]
So, someone added more to it after the fact. [ either way it's not. particularly helpful. ]
...I'm sorry but that's all I've got. I appreciate the report, though.
Yes, judging by what we were told, it was by other staffers—though no one could tell us specifically who, and no one would admit to doing it, it was... 'garbage from two garbage employees.'
[ ahem ]
So we are looking at the least... ah. Motivated of Aquila, Vulpecula, Lepus, and Orion. I do not think it was Orion.
[ gives him a look like, you're a LITTLE stinky...
and also I WAS BLIND... i cannot see, or read, ]
—Actually, now that I think on it, I'm pretty sure all eight names of the staff members were on there. But there were two distinct sets of handwriting—so maybe if we can compare the handwriting for the staff member names to the other sheets...
...The example I was given was making a deal for full access to the kitchen, under the premise that it would be entertaining to kill someone with food.
[ he is very disdainful about this ]
So it is more about our interactions and adjustments of the hotel itself, yes. I asked if these deals could be used for things such as powers or items, for fear that someone might attempt to do so for murder, but it seems that is not the purpose.
[ she looks up at the wisteria trees for a moment before she addresses everything else. ]
It worries me if the shadows have multiplied to encourage so many. [ she frowns. ] But if that note about the shadow leaving the culprits after trial is over can be trusted, how much should we worry about this week?
... I did ask to see if I could get any information about what could generally count as a "stellar performance" after the second time I received a ticket for such, and all I obtained was a frightfully unhelpful answer.
[ but between mikazuki and what dimitri mentioned below about covers what she's found out, too. ]
It makes me wonder if whatever is behind the shadows doesn't think the guests are taking as much initiative for the preferred form of entertainment.
I did ask about what was considered excessive murder, as outlined in the contract, and the answer was, there needed to be enough people to hold a trial.
infodump. hateful,

Hm... yes, I believe the handwriting is a match between both our sheets.
So we are still looking for the same two staff members.
