Mm. It's probably best not to directly confront them about it, I think. One of the staff also said to me that we are being watched... but not always.

Until they can take off their veils, I'll continue as I have been. I wonder at what times we aren't being watched, if there's any consistency to that.

That, I don't know... I suppose even if they knew that, they wouldn't be able to tell me.

But it'd be nice to know. It'd be nice to widen the window of when we're not being watched.

There are certain aspects of their behavior - words, mannerisms, and such - that do not always appear to come naturally.

It truly is the why they'd need to go so far and pretend that's baffling me. Why would they need to go so far to lie?

.... it may be some attempt to help us, albeit roundabout. Perhaps to 'buy us time'... as these staff members might be more cooperative and empathetic to our needs than the those that existed before them.

When I spoke with one of them on a rather sensitive subject, they seemed nervous of the shadows.

That makes sense to an extent, but for those who are rather diligent about their work, there should be a little less worry, and yet...
